Profile

Francesca Alderotti finished her studies in Agricultural Sciences and Technology at the University of Florence with a thesis entitled “Vegetation dieback in the Mediterranean environment: a case-study of water stress in Quercus ilex”.

After that, Francesca continued to attend the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Forestry Sciences and Technologies (DAGRI, Unifi) thanks to a six-months research scholarship for the activity of “exploitation of shrubs for the extraction of medicinal principles and for cosmeceutical uses ".

Her scientific interests concern the impact of environmental stresses on Mediterranean plants physiology and biochemistry.
